About
Set-Jetting is a booming trend in travel. According to Expedia’s 2023 travel trends report, two thirds of global travellers have considered it. Thirty-nine per cent have booked trips to destinations they’ve seen in films or TV shows on streaming platforms. From the glamorous Sicilian streets of White Lotus to the Nordic scapes in Succession to the stately Chatsworth House, home of Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, visits to locations shown in TV series and films are on the rise.

Equally, film-makers are some of the most exacting taskmasters in search of the perfect location for their productions. With global commissioning of film and HETV series remaining high, we are sure to see yet more photogenic destinations become characters in their own right on our screens in 2024.

Hear from this panel on what makes a location such a draw for film-makers and discerning tourists alike, including how best to ensure visits are sustainable; and gain insights from creators and location promoters on how and why bringing more sustainable tourism and screen production to your regions is a great thing for local and national economies.
