‘Zippy’ Downing has been working as a Location Scout and Manager since 2007, with recent TV/film projects including Freakier Friday (Disney), Shrinking (Apple), Yellowjackets (Showtime) and Star Trek: Picard (Paramount), and recent commercial work with Nissan, Chanel, Adidas, and Coca Cola.

As an FAA-licensed drone pilot, Zippy has honed a passion for aerial photography, and helped develop the curriculum for the first-ever Drone Scouting Workshop presented to Local 399 Location Managers.

In 2024, Zippy launched COlabs, a global location consulting agency that helps production service companies and film
commissions elevate their visibility
and connect directly with Hollywood
decision-makers. COlabs specializes
in curated FAM tours, strategic
scouting, global networking events,
marketing support, and educational
programming tailored specifically
for service companies seeking to
expand their reach into the studio
system.
