Jordan McGarry is Film London&rsquos Head of Talent Development and Production, leading the team that discovers and develops London&rsquos emerging filmmakers. The team supports filmmakers and content through the innovative IP market UPstream, the Production Finance Market&rsquos New Talent strand (alumni include the teams behind Grand Theft Hamlet, Last Swim, Cactus Pears and Boiling Point) and Film London&rsquos regular series of Labs that provide support and insight for the capital&rsquos creators. Jordan&rsquos team also delivers BFI NETWORK funding in London, commissioning celebrated shorts such as Precious Hair and Beauty and Wren Boys. Before Film London, Jordan spent five years as Director of Curation at Vimeo, leading the team that programmed the site&rsquos illustrious Staff Picks channel, uncovering talent for Vimeo Originals and brand partners and working closely on the frontline of the direct distribution revolution via the development of the Vimeo On Demand platform. Prior to this, Jordan paid her dues as a journalist, in festival programming, video commissioning and as an executive producer at Partizan London.
