Bega Metzner started in film as a PA in NYC and spent 20+ years designing costumes for features, commercials, and print. After falling for Moab in the late ’80s, she eventually made it home — and since 2016, she’s led the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission, the world’s longest-running - Now in it's 76th year.
Under her leadership, the Moab region has welcomed high-profile productions including Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, Wild Horse Nine and Horizon: An American Saga. In 2025, Bega was honored with a Highly Commended recognition for Location of the Year at the Global Production Awards in Cannes, and recently received the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award at the Eastern Utah Economic Summit.
