Chairman
Apply4 Technology Ltd
Andrew Pavord began his career in the film industry in 1988 as a Location Manager on commercials and feature films. After working as a producer on pop promos, he went on to serve as a UK Production Supervisor for numerous international productions, including large-scale Bollywood musicals filmed in the UK.
In 2004, Andrew was approached by Southwark Council to establish and manage their film service. This role led to the establishment of FilmFixer, the UK’s leading private film service, and to the development of innovative new ways of managing location filming requests, including the creation of FilmApp, now widely used across the UK, USA, and New Zealand for film permitting and management.
As the Founder and Chairman of FilmFixer Ltd, Andrew oversees filming activity across 15 London boroughs, managing approximately 8,000 film shoots each year. FilmFixer also manages filming for Screen Suffolk, covering the county of Suffolk, and most recently, the Hampshire and Solent Film Office.
Andrew is also a director of Apply4 Technology Ltd, which provides cloud-based permitting solutions, and has led the development of LocationsDB, a new AI-driven locations library. In addition, he helped to establish The Generator Project in 2021, a non-profit initiative dedicated to reducing diesel generator use on film sets and events and Set Ready which provides training and paid opportunities in the screen industries for new entrants.
