Producer Matthew James Wilkinson runs Stigma Films, a film & television production company.
Stigma has produced eighteen features to-date, most recently BALLAD OF A SMALL PLAYER, starring Colin Farrell and Tilda Swinton, for director Edward Berger which was released on Netflix last month. Also recently released, ODYSSEY, written and directed by Gerard Johnson (MUSCLE), which premiered at SXSW and DADDY’S HEAD, a contained
psychological horror for Shudder.
Other recent titles include, SEIZE THEM! an Entertainment Film Distributors’ medieval comedy, starring Aimee Lou Wood and Nicola Coughlan co-produced with Damian Jones released last year. AI-themed thriller, T.I.M., starring Georgina Campbell and Eamon Farren placed number 1 on Netflix UK and Heist musical, THE SCORE, starring Johnny Flynn, Will Poulter and Naomi Ackie. Netflix Original CHOOSE OR DIE, starring Asa Butterfield ranked No.1 in the UK, US and Canada on its opening weekend.
Sky Original feature, LAST TRAIN TO CHRISTMAS, starring Michael Sheen and Nathalie Emmanuel aired to a festive audience of over 1 million viewers.
Matthew also produced, YESTERDAY, for Working Title Films. The film was written by Richard Curtis, directed by Danny Boyle and released worldwide by Universal. It grossed over $160m at the Worldwide Box Office.
