Neoklis Mantas is the Head of the Hellenic Film Commission - a unit of the Hellenic Film & Audiovisual Center- and the Film Commissioner of Greece. He is a Cultural Manager with an expertise in the sectors of Creative Industries and Place Marketing & Branding. In 2010, he had his bachelor’s degree and Integrated Master as an Urbanist and his master’s degree in cultural geographies (Master of Arts “Cities & Cultures”, Geography School of Queen Mary University of London). In 2020, he successfully defended his PhD thesis on Psychogeography & Cinema. He has worked in the field of cultural and creative industries as Communications Executive at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, Head of Cultural Development and Director of Communications & Marketing in 2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture). His scientific interests are: Urban Image and Identity, Place Μarketing and Branding, Tourism and Cultural Planning, Metamodern Imaginative Geographies, with an emphasis on cinema.
