Dr. Rahul Tidke is a senior Indian Information Service officer and Director at the Press Information Bureau under the aegis of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, playing a key role in shaping India’s national media and communication landscape. His multidisciplinary background—spanning Film Appreciation at FTII, Media & Communication at IIMC, Financial Management at AJNIFM, and academic grounding in Public Administration and Ayurvedic medical sciences—gives him a rare ability to connect creative vision with institutional frameworks.
With experience across both Central and State Government, Dr. Tidke integrates policy expertise with grassroots administrative understanding, especially in film administration, media systems, and creative-sector engagement. Previously, he has also worked as Head of News Unit at All India Radio, and held key positions at Press Registrar General of India and Films Division. His personal interests in photography, travel, and literature further enrich his sensitivity to cultural narratives and visual storytelling.
He was one of the key contributors to organising the debut edition of WAVES Mumbai, a creative industry forum that brought together filmmakers, content creators, and media innovators. His capacity to think beyond conventional administrative approaches helped shape the event’s collaborative ethos and forward-looking direction.
