Makers from 78 Countries Converge at FOCUS 2025 for Landmark 10th Anniversary Year
Thousands of screen professionals from film, TV, advertising, and games, gathered at the
Business Design Centre London for the 10th anniversary year of FOCUS. Over 3900 delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers, from 78 countries, enjoyed two jam-packed days of conference sessions, meetings, and networking events.
An expanded Show Floor showcased
303 exhibiting companies, including international film commissions, agencies, film-friendly locations, and production service companies from every continent. New territories represented this year included Armenia, Czechia, India, Georgia, Jordan, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Malaysia, and the UAE.

On the two
Conference stages (Business & Leadership, Craft & Innovation), keynotes, panels and briefing sessions addressed the key talking points of 2025. Audiences heard from the creators behind
Frankenstein, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Adolescence, Game of Thrones, Warfare and
Dept. Q. Sessions explored the state of screen entertainment and visual storytelling, the challenges of developing and financing projects, and creating content sustainably. A key strand explored the human–AI interface, and the impact of tech advancements in a rapidly changing landscape — and the very real challenges this shift is creating for the workforce.
The conference programme was sponsored by media partner
Variety and delivered in conjunction with a wide range of organisations, including the Content Advisory Board (
Pact,
PGGB,
BFI,
British Film Commission,

FOCUS also introduced a new initiative,
CO:LAB — a curated programme for content creators, featuring bespoke workshops, speed-networking sessions, and an exclusive conversation with producer
Pippa Harris (
Hamnet, The Magic Faraway Tree). Partners for CO:LAB included
Lewis Silkin, Bombax Media, Coleman Moser, London Film Works, Saffery and the
British Film Commission.
