Korda Studio Brings New Sustainability Milestones and Expanded Location Services to FOCUS
Korda Studio is heading to
FOCUS London 2025 with significant momentum behind it, marking a year of progress in sustainability, international outreach, and location services across Hungary. The studio, already known for its state-of-the-art facilities and large-scale production capabilities, arrives at the event for the very first time, eager to connect with producers, location managers, and production companies exploring Europe as a filming destination.
This marks Korda Studio's debut at FOCUS, and the company views the event as a crucial gateway into new international relationships. “This will be our first time participating in FOCUS, and we're very much looking forward to it,”
László Horváth-Varga, Korda Studio's CEO notes. The studio sees the gathering as an ideal setting to introduce itself to a wider creative community while engaging with filmmakers and production teams who may be exploring Hungary for future projects. As they put it, FOCUS provides an ideal opportunity to “build new relationships with producers, location managers, and production companies who may be considering filming in Hungary.”

One of the studio’s most notable achievements this year is its advancement in environmental strategy. As Horváth-Varga explains, “Korda Studio achieved a 'VERY GOOD' rating in the BAFTA Albert 2025/26 sustainability assessment, marking an important step in our environmental commitment.” The recognition reflects a growing push toward greener production practices across the global film and TV sector, a trend the company is keen to lead within the Central European region.
Sustainability progress was not the only development shaping the studio’s year. Korda has also launched Korda Locations, a new service designed to streamline access to Hungary’s diverse range of filming sites. The studio describes it as a tool that “offers diverse filming sites across Hungary in one place—from industrial areas and forests to modern offices and historic buildings.” This consolidation of location options is intended to help productions move faster and more efficiently, positioning Korda as a flexible partner in what it calls “the changing market environment.”
As newcomers to the FOCUS exhibition, Korda Studio is approaching the event with enthusiasm, and an eagerness to demonstrate the scale and flexibility of filming in Hungary. The team shares
“We look forward to meeting with producers and location managers to share what Korda Studio can offer.”
Visitors to the stand can expect to preview a curated selection of options from the newly launched Korda Locations service, alongside expert guidance on navigating Hungary’s production landscape. The studio will also be highlighting a major advantage for incoming shoots: “the 30% tax rebate and practical production considerations,” supported by experienced crews and world-class infrastructure.
Korda’s leadership is keeping a close eye on several industry shifts poised to shape future productions. Horváth-Varga points to one major force in particular: “It's impossible not to talk about the rise of AI—we're excited to see how it will transform filmmaking in the coming years.”
As Horváth-Varga summarises, “the continued expansion of streaming content creates opportunities for studios like ours that can support ambitious, large-scale productions with the infrastructure and skilled crews they require.”
Beyond the business meetings and networking, Korda Studio is eager to immerse itself in the FOCUS’ wider programming. “Beyond building new connections and reconnecting with familiar faces, I'm really looking forward to the presentations and talks,” Horváth-Varga says. “The topics look fascinating, and it's going to be difficult to choose which sessions to attend.”
As Korda Studio steps into the event spotlight for the first time, it does so with a strengthened sustainability record, an expanded location offering, and a clear ambition to position Hungary as an accessible, innovative, and attractive destination for global production.
