Farnborough International makes debut at FOCUS
Farnborough International Studios is making its debut as an exhibitor at FOCUS London 2025. And with a year of major developments behind it, the Hampshire-based production hub is poised to showcase how it’s redefining flexibility, accessibility, and innovation in UK film and television production.
“The past year has seen a variety of productions using the site,” studio director Rachel Morrison notes, “exploring both studio use — from features to documentaries — to the wider campus, with unit bases taking advantage of thousands of car park spaces, location replica shoots, stunt driving, set storage, and commercial production.” With vast outdoor areas and multiple stages, the studio continues to prove it has the “agility and capability to support any-sized production, whether that be large-scale film production or online commercial creators.”

Among Farnborough’s biggest announcements this year is its April 2025 partnership with Quite Brilliant, specialists in virtual production. The collaboration, though not exclusive, allows Farnborough to offer large-scale LED-volume services, complete with screen builds and full virtual-production support, from within one of its 22,000 sq ft sound stages.
“This positions the studio to cater to the growing demand for virtual/LED-volume shoots in film, TV, commercials, and branded content,” Morrison explains.
Accessibility and inclusion have also been front and centre. In September 2025, Farnborough completed its application to the Television Access Project (TAP), an industry initiative aimed at improving access for disabled talent by 2030. The studio describes this step as part of a wider commitment to “accessible facilities across the site, in-house TAP activators, and community and operational engagement to support inclusive production environments.”
Sustainability continues to be a key pillar of Farnborough’s operations. Having retained its Albert Supplier status, the studio is working closely with productions to support their sustainability goals. “We are committed to continue to deliver this as technology changes and production requirements adapt,” Morrison affirms.
For visitors to FOCUS London 2025 attendees can discover more about the studio’s tailored offer, including how its extensive secure site can save productions both time and money.
“From private roads to office and New York apartment replicas, we can support productions with multiple filming areas across the lot,” Morrison says.
Farnborough will also play a major role in the launch of the Solent and Hampshire Film Office during FOCUS, taking place just after the Location Manager Drinks on 8 December.

While this will be Farnborough International Studios’ first time exhibiting at FOCUS, the team is no stranger to the event. “Many of the team have been before,” Morrison states. “We look forward to connecting with creatives and sharing how we can cater for all content creators, whatever size!” From 20,000 sq ft of workshop space for sustainable set storage to 210,000 sq ft of shooting space, Farnborough offers facilities designed to “make it work for creatives, whatever their budget.”
The team is especially enthusiastic about the growth of virtual production and the UK’s evolving indie film tax opportunities, which they believe will empower more independent filmmakers to access professional-grade facilities.

And as FOCUS London 2025 approaches, excitement is building locally, too. “This is an exciting time for us in Hampshire to share the untapped opportunities that Farnborough and other parts of Hampshire and the Solent have to offer. Personally, I am very much looking forward to catching up with friends, hearing about new projects, and seeing how Farnborough International Studios can be their home.”
