In 2025, Portugal Film Commission and Loulé Film Office joint forces to showcase Portugal at FOCUS.
The Portugal Film Commission is a public body dedicated to positioning Portugal as a prime destination for film and audiovisual productions. Its daily work involves promoting the country’s diverse natural, historical, and urban landscapes, as well as highlighting Pic Portugal - a competitive incentive scheme - and the strength of its industry network.
With a mission to streamline film support and permitting processes at the national level, the Portugal Film Commission provides the essential assistance international productions need when choosing Portugal as a filming location.
In a rich natural and cultural landscape, with a scenic light combined with centrality, excellent accessibilities and excellence at hotel offers, the Municipality of Loulé, located in the Algarve region in southern Portugal, provides welcoming conditions and support for the creation of audiovisual projects.
The Loulé Film Office, in collaboration with Algarve Film Commission, was established as a facilitator and mediator between projects, access to locations and scenarios of the county, also supporting authorization procedures.
Loulé creates therefore conditions to become a premier destination for film shootings and photographic productions, contributing to strengthening the image and promotion of the county.
