Recently awarded Gold for ‘Large Visitor Attraction of the Year at the 2025 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, Black Country Living Museum is an award-winning open air museum that tells the story of one of the very first industrialised landscapes in Britain.
Set across 29 acres, you’ll explore carefully reconstructed shops, houses and industrial areas that represent the Black Country’s story. You’ll learn how steam power, human ingenuity and an increasingly interconnected world transformed this region into a manufacturing powerhouse.
We are also an ideal filming location, with ample space for unit bases, and minutes away from hotels, restaurants, and major road networks. We can provide stunning backdrops for projects set between 1850s-1960s, and also offer on site catering, hire of historic transport, willing supporting artists, and a dedicated staff member to liaise with throughout the filming process.
