The Vienna Film Commission is the first point of contact for national and international film productions in Vienna and acts as an intermediary between the Vienna City Administration, the Municipal Departments of Vienna, and the film industry, especially for obtaining shooting permits.  It provides support in searching for suitable locations and service partners in the industry. In addition, the Vienna Film Commission lobbies for film and promotes Vienna internationally as a film and production location with the aim of achieving sustainable effects for the local film industry.
